He has set a standard for others to beat with his consistant driving and great sportsmanship. Season 2005/06 was Zack’s 3rd National Championship on the trot, throughout this championship he won 11 races out of 12 and claimed pole 8 times. We cannot end this write up without paying tribute to Zack Zammit for his achievements at Badger Karting the last couple of seasons. Aguis finished 2nd while Mario Micallef came 3rd. Aguis managed to take pole ahead of Tonna and a thrilling race followed, with the pressure taking it’s toll on Aguis as he spun his kart mid way through the race to allow Tonna to claim his 6th win of the season. The second race saw Jonathan Tonna and Justin Aguis against each other These two drivers were 2nd and 3rd in the overall standings and a slip by Tonna would have meant Aguis coming in with a chance to leapfrog into 2nd. Frendo finished a close 2nd while Matthew Ciappara came 3rd. After some laps that pressure paid off as Frendo went slightly wide in one of the corners which was enough for Zammit to take the lead and secure his 11th win of the season. Zammit though had other ideas for the race as he immidiatly put Frendo under pressure. Pole position was claimed by the only female driver in the line up Andrea Frendo who did well to out pace everyone during the qualifying session. The first race of the evening included newly crowned champion Zack Zammit. The final race from The National 4 stroke karting League took place on the 30th of April at Badger Karting.
